Shauna Pointer brings a wealth of firsthand experience to business brokerage, having successfully navigated the journey of business ownership herself. After earning her Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, Shauna embarked on an entrepreneurial path that shaped her deep understanding of small business operations.

In 2006, she purchased a franchise, later founding her own brand and company in 2020. After nearly two decades of business ownership, she successfully sold her company through Brio Brokers Group, giving her a unique, personal perspective on the buying and selling process. This experience, along with her passion for small businesses, inspired her to become a business broker—helping others develop exit strategies, transition successfully, and leave a lasting legacy.

Although born in Dayton, Ohio, Shauna has called Albuquerque home since high school, when her family relocated with the Air Force. Having worked for small businesses throughout high school and college, she understands the challenges and rewards that come with entrepreneurship. Her expertise spans across multiple industries, particularly hospitality, service-based businesses, special occasions, event production, publications, digital marketing, advertising, and sales.

Beyond business brokerage, Shauna and her husband of 20 years operate three short-term rentals in Albuquerque, handling everything from marketing to guest experience. Her husband also owns Pointer Realty, a residential real estate brokerage. Together, they balance business ownership with raising their three children, who love traveling, thrifting, roller skating, and discovering new restaurants both locally and in new cities.
